Google+ a Month In…

It’s been one month since my post about Google+ for businesses.  What do you think about it?   Have you joined up as an individual?  What about for your business?

Got a circle for me on Google+?

For businesses, Google+ is great!  As a matter of fact, if you aren’t on Google+, you’re only hurting your business – considering the weight Google is giving to Google+, sharing of pages, circles, and more.

But, in order to rank, you need fellow Google+ users to play along.  With 800,000,000 users heavily invested in their Facebook pages, how many are going to, and even want to, put that much effort into another social media “project” like Google+.  The numbers of new Google+ members seems to have leveled off, and with the launching of Facebook’s new Timeline, Facebook users will have enough to keep them busy this holiday season.  If they put any time into building their timelines on Facebook, I doubt they’ll see a need to have a Google+ account.  ”Who has time to keep up with both?”

But, back to Google+ for business.  I really don’t think businesses have a choice.  We need to have a good Google+ page and keep it active.  We have to play by the rules of the search engine results ranking game, and the game says use Google+.Social-Media-Rocks

I think it’s a good thing.  Keeping a Google+ page (and a Facebook page) for your business forces you into interacting with your clients and customers and in a unique and fun way!  So, embrace the times, jump in with both feet, and have some fun with social media!!  You just need a plan and a way to implement it.

Need some help getting started?  I’d be glad to get things rolling for you, and keep them rolling along if you don’t have the time.  Give me a call and start off the New Year driving smoothly along that road of Social Median business interaction!
