I’m really excited about a new self–assignment project that grew from the Scott Kelby Photo Walk I participated in last August. Normally I prefer to photograph nature and wildlife, but on the Photo Walk I shot primarily street portraits with my favorite black & white film. It was so much fun that I did it again a couple weekends later. I shot enough film to whet my appetite for more.
On this page I will share a lot of those photos with you. Now and then you will be able to see them locally when I exhibit them throughout the area.
Currently I’m sharing some of those portraits at Dr. Ann Lagonegro’s office on Rt. 17 in Gloucester, Virginia.

This couple was power walking while I was strolling the streets of Colonial Williamsburg. I heard them coming up behind me and within seconds they passed me by. I saw them later at the Farmer’s Market on Merchant’s Square with a bag of tomatoes. I asked them if I could take their photo. Look at those smiles!
This is one of my favorite photos that I’ve taken so far. The gentleman doing the hugging was a pleasure to meet and he made everyone smile that he came in contact with that morning. You’ll see him again in another photo later.
Isn’t he a most handsome gentleman? Thank you, Mr. Perez, for the honor of taking your portrait.
Click on the photo below to see the page of photos from I’m OK – You’re Croquet. It was a benefit croquet tournament held to raise money to fight Alzheimer’s Disease. Over $4,000 was raised and it was a great time to be had with friendly competition, good food, great music and even better company.
