My Battle of the Hook postcards arrived this week, and I have been passing them out to area restaurants. They can be found at Sweet Madeline’s, (they are catering the Battle of the Hook) Kane’s Grille, Red, White & Bordeaux, Bangkok Noi, Olivia’s in the Village, Wild Rabbit Cafe, and Short Lane Ice Cream. I might add a couple more locations. I will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the postcards to the restoration of the historic buildings in the Court House area. Roane’s Building was just completed last week, and the visitor’s center has moved back in.

I designed these two postcards to commemorate the Battle of the Hook reenactment taking place October 17 – 19, 2008 here in Gloucester, VA. My thanks to Warren Deal - official reenactor, Chair of the Battle of the Hook Steering Committee, and all around great model, for posing two weeks ago for these photos.
